Utkarsh Sharma calls Sunny Deol the ‘king of dialogue delivery’; says, “I have always been a fan of his style, his enigma, and his energy is something”

Utkarsh Sharma essayed the role of Jeetey, son of Tara Singh aka Sunny Deol, in the recently released blockbuster Gadar 2.

Readers would be aware that Gadar 2 turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters this year. The action entertainer brought back the popular love story of Tara Singh played by Sunny Deol and Sakeena essayed by Ameesha Patel along with characters like their son Jeetey. The latter was essayed by Utkarsh Sharma, who played the same role about two decades ago. Speaking about his reunion with the cast, Utkarsh confessed about being one of the biggest fans of his onscreen father aka Sunny.

In an interview, Utkarsh Sharma opened up about his love for Sunny Deol and couldn’t stop gushing about the superstar’s iconic dialogue delivery. “Sunny sir is the king of dialogue delivery! His style, his enigma, and his energy is something I have always been a fan of - he is my idol,” he said. He also went on to talk about the several ‘memorable scenes’ he shared with ‘Sunny Paji’. "Hamara Hindustan zindabad tha, zindabad hai, aur zindabad rahega!" It's a dialogue that will forever hold gravitas. His delivery added a layer of authenticity and emotion to the scene that truly elevated it,” he added.

Utkarsh went on to elaborate about how he is inspired by the actor when it comes to action as he went on to continue, “When it came to action scenes, I had to follow my idol; Sunny sir. His moves and his action are something I've always looked up to and that's what I always looked at. The most difficult part for me was to get the emotional side out of me.” He maintained, “I relied on the vulnerability and love Jeetey felt for his family and Muskaan. It was about finding that emotional depth within Jeetey and allowing it to shine through even during intense action sequences.”

Further, Sharma went on to recall more about the film, as he went on to talk about how he worked on his chemistry with debutant Simrat Kaur Randhawa. “Jeetey is a young man who deeply cares for his family and is determined to meet his father at any cost. I first understood the core of Jeetey's character. When it came to action scenes, I had to follow my idol; Sunny sir. His moves and his action are something I've always looked up to and that's what I always looked at. The most difficult part for me was to get the emotional side out of me. I relied on the vulnerability and love Jeetey felt for his family and Muskaan. It was about finding that emotional depth within Jeetey and allowing it to shine through even during intense action sequences,” he concluded.

Gadar 2 released amid much fanfare on August 11 and turned to be one of the biggest box office successes this year.
