Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, director Sameer Vidwans, producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shareen Mantri Kerdia attended the trailer launch of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri at a multiplex in Mumbai. The film arrives in cinemas on December 25, at a time when the Dhurandhar wave refuses to slow down. Meanwhile, Avatar: Fire And Ash is all set to release on December 19, which will also take up screens. Ikkis, too, was about to arrive on Christmas but was postponed to January 1, 2026, on December 17. Nevertheless, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri will face opposition from the two biggies, and it might result in screen-sharing issues.
Karan Johar was asked about it and he said, “As a producer, I believe that there’s space for multitude of films. There’s scope for every film to perform. Also, I feel that our film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is very different from every other film that is playing in cinema halls.”
He added, “I am incredibly proud of the success of Dhurandhar. My congratulations to the entire team; it’s a phenomenal film. I have heard the best things about Avatar: Fire And Ash. But I have also heard amazing things about our film! And I know that it’s a Christmas release; it’s a festive release.”
KJo further stated, “I’d also like to take this opportunity to say that I am looking forward to watching Ikkis. It’s a very special film for all of us. For me, there’s a personal reason. We have just great regard, respect and reverence for Dharam ji (Dharmendra). It’s been a tremendous loss to all of us. Watching him one last film will mean the world to all of us as fans and cinegoers. Also, it's Agastya Nanda’s film; I have known him for years. Dinoo (producer Dinesh Vijan) is a great friend.”
Karan Johar signed off by exulting, “So, I think all of us can do exceedingly well in cinemas. The whole power should be with the box office of Indian cinema. When we prosper, you prosper. And when you prosper, we prosper!”
