Triptii Dimri reveals how she became an accidental actor; says, “I hid those shoots from my parents” : Bollywood News

Triptii Dimri recently shared an interesting anecdote about her entry into the entertainment industry. In an interview with Cosmo India, the Animal actress revealed how a chance photoshoot by a friend led her into the world of acting.

"While I was studying literature, one day my brother’s friend, who had bought a DSLR, shot some pictures of me and randomly sent them to an agency. The agency liked my pictures and called me for an audition," Triptii shared. However, she admitted to initially keeping it a secret from her parents.

Hiding the Shoots from Her Parents

Triptii revealed that while she hesitated to inform her parents about her modeling photoshoots, they eventually found out through magazines and newspapers. To her surprise, they were supportive. "When they started seeing my pictures in magazines and newspapers, they were happy. The positive side of it was that I was getting comfortable in front of the camera, and suddenly started getting noticed by people from Bombay," she said.

The actress fondly recalled the moment she landed in Mumbai to chase her dreams. "When I finally landed, I felt pure joy! I remember it was monsoons, and even today, every time monsoons hit, it takes me back to my initial days—Jan 16, 2016!"

Speaking of the professional front, the 31-year-old actress was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, co-starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. The film, released during Diwali 2024, performed well at the box office despite a clash with Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer Singham Again.

Triptii has a bunch of exciting projects in her kitty including a film with Shahid Kapoor, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. In addition, she will also be seen headlining Dharma Productions’ Dhadak 2.
