When the teaser of the Marathi film Ventilator was released, all the eyes were indeed glued to the same because this happens to be Priyanka Chopra’s first step into Marathi film production. While the teaser was definitely impressive, what also caught everyone’s attention was the striking presence of Ashutosh Gowariker.

After having shifted his gears from acting to filmmaking, Ashutosh Gowariker will yet again be seen as an actor in the Rajesh Mapuskar directed Ventilator. Buzz is that, it was actually Rajesh Mapuskar’s idea to cast Ashutosh Gowariker in Ventilator. Speaking about the same, Rajesh Mapuskar said that when he told Ashutosh Gowariker about acting in Ventilator, he couldn't believe it at all and later said that he had no time to shoot as he was busy with Mohenjo Daro. And when Ashutosh Gowariker finally said yes, he was so energetic in front of the camera. He was popularly called as ‘Aamcha Ashu’ on the sets because of his extremely friendly nature towards everyone. Rajesh Mapuskar, who had made his Bollywood debut with Ferrari Ki Sawari said that, while producing Ventilator was a small step for Priyanka Chopra, but a big one for Marathi films.

Ventilator will see the coming together of many of Marathi actors and stage artists. Besides them, Priyanka Chopra will be seen making a guest appearance in Ventilator, whose tagline is ‘Fun. Family. Entertainment.’
