The long-term target is ambitious: ensuring that India’s 2034 FIFA World Cup squad includes at least five players from Maharashtra. As part of the initiative, 60 selected athletes will receive a five-year residential scholarship along with a rare opportunity to train at a special football clinic with Lionel Messi on December 14.
