Actor Tejasswi Prakash recently had an interesting interactive session with co-actor Aly Goni as a part of the promotions of her upcoming web-series Psycho Saiyaan on Amazon MX Player. The actress recently found herself in the midst of a controversy when rumours surrounding a reported issue with co-actor Surbhi Chandna alleging that the latter was left in tears during a recent event, started surfacing in media reports. Although she didn’t address the incident directly, Tejasswi was seen making satirical statements on ‘making people cry’.
Reports about the alleged incident surfaced after a promotional event for the show, which is set to stream on Amazon MX Player. The event reportedly included media interactions featuring the main cast members, including Anud Singh Dhaka, Surbhi Chandna and Tejasswi Prakash.
Addressing the rumours in a lighthearted manner, Tejasswi commented on the speculation surrounding her role in the situation. She said, “Maine rulaya. Main kya hi karu, log mujhse itna pyaar karte hai. Mere kuch karne se unko rona aata hai toh mai kya karu? Agar log mere interviews lena chahte hai toh mai kya karu? Agar paps sirf mujhe click karna chahte hai toh mai karu (I made her cry. What can I even do? People love me so much. If something I do makes them cry, what can I do? If people want to interview only me, what can I do? If paparazzi want to click only my photos, what should I do).”
In another remark during the same conversation, she added, “Tere sath mai interview dungi kyunki tum itne bade star ho ki mere manaa karne par tum thodi na nikal jaoge? I’m a psycho na (I’ll give an interview with you because you’re such a big star that you won’t walk out even if I refuse, right? I’m a psycho, after all).”
According to circulating reports about the promotional event, Tejasswi was expected to join her co-stars for joint interviews with media representatives. However, shortly before the scheduled interactions, the actor reportedly informed the organisers that she would be arriving late due to a wardrobe issue.
Later, it was communicated through her team that she preferred conducting individual interviews instead of participating in joint sessions with the rest of the cast. The team at Amazon MX Player reportedly maintained that the format and interview schedule had been shared with the actor and her team at least two days in advance, and no objections had been raised earlier.
The unexpected change in plans allegedly created confusion during the event, prompting organisers and teams to step in and manage the situation. Reports also claimed that Surbhi Chandna eventually left the venue after completing a few interviews alongside Anud Singh Dhaka and was visibly upset.
Neither Tejasswi nor Surbhi has issued an official statement specifically addressing the reported incident.
