Tamannaah returns after a year with Humshakals : Bollywood News

A little more than a year after her last Bollywood release Himmatwala, Tamannaah Bhatia is back in Bollywood with Humshakals. Though she continued to be busy with her stint down South (a couple of her films have already released in last 12 months), her Bollywood journey would resume with Humshakals followed by Its Entertainment.

Was it a given that Sajid Khan and you would reunite with Humshakals?

One can never be too sure (smiles). I have been in the industry for long enough to realize that one should not carry too many expectations. When Sajid called me for Humshakals, it obviously made me feel good. It made me believe that there is some talent that he recognizes. It only made it all the more important for me to give my best.

This time around, there are three leading ladies though, including Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta.

See, sometimes, it is important to compliment a film rather than feel competitive. Of course you have to perform well because that's the only way you can add to the film. Having said that, the best thing about being a part of such a film is that everyone knows what he or she is supposed to play in there.

The guys (Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor) seem to be having a lot of fun in there.

Yes indeed. In fact even when I was not in a shot, I used to sit behind the monitor and keep watching how these men perform. I could at least know beforehand the kind of craziness they were up to so that I was well prepared once I had to step into the scene and perform. Of course it is the guys who are doing comedy most of the time in the film. I was amazed to see the kind of energy they carried and the way they maintained so much enthusiasm. Even for us girls, there are a lot of physical movements involved in comedy scenes. All of that made it very tiring but then it was fun too.
