The Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan has been receiving rave reviews from all quarters. Even though the film has failed to create records at the box office, the performances and the emotional storyline is being applauded by audiences and even industry insiders. Among them is Taapsee Pannu who decided to share the review of the film on her social media handle.

Appreciating the film, Taapsee Pannu wrote about the Ajay Devgn starrer on her Instagram story saying, “Maidaan. Then let’s not say our big films lack soul and heart.” Along with that, the actress also couldn’t stop gushing about her Blurr co-star Abhilash Thapliyal. For the unversed, the duo also shared screen space in the film Dil Junglee. She went on to cheer for him in the film and added, “Abhilash Thapliyal, cheers to adding one feather at a time to the filmography hat”.

Apart from her many of them have been showering their love on the film include the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Hansal Mehta, Kunal Kemmu, and others. Shahid Kapoor wrote, “Really enjoyed watching Maidaan today. Such a well-made and well-performed film. Go watch it guys. This is a genuine candid post you all. Good films deserve to be seen. All the best to the entire team.”

Maidaan film promises to be an exhilarating cinematic journey, chronicling the untold story of India's golden era in football. Led by Ajay Devgn, the movie explores the trials and triumphs of the legendary football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim. Set against the backdrop of post-independence India, it celebrates the spirit of determination and teamwork that propelled the Indian football team to global prominence. Apart from Ajay, the film also features Priyamani, Gajaj Rao, Rudranil Ghosh, Zaheer Mirza, among many others. Directed by Amit Sharma, the film is produced by Bayview Projects FLF in association with Zee Studios, the film released in theatres on April 10.
