Rhea Chakraborty hasn’t been seen much ever since the controversy regarding the death of her beau Sushant Singh Rajput erupted 2020, apart from her supporting role in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Chehre. But the actress recently made a splash by announcing her association with the latest season of the reality show MTV Roadies.

In a video shared by MTV, Rhea is heard saying, “Aapko kya laga, mai wapas nahin aungi? Dar jaungi? Darne ki baari kisi aur ki hai. Milte hai auditions pe” (You thought I won’t return? You thought I got scared? It’s time for someone else to get scared. See you at the auditions).

Following this, SSR’s sister Priyanka Singh posted a cryptic tweet with strong language, which read (translated), “Why will you be scared? You were, is and will remain a prostitute. The question is who is sponsoring you? Only someone in power can give such confidence.”

As expected, the tweet got viral as netizens started assuming that Priyanka’s tweet was in response to Rhea’s video. But Priyanka later clarified that her tweet wasn’t aimed at anyone. “Just a clarification: My below tweet was not directed to any specific person as it has been reported in media which is ill-conceived and looks motivated. It was my general angst against the state of affairs prevalent in our world around,” she said.

Coming to SSR, the investigation surrounding his death is being investigated by the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) since 2020.
