Sunny Deol is gearing up for the release of Gadar 2, the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar – Ek Prem Katha. The actor recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show, where he opened up about the initial backlash the film faced from Bollywood.

"When Gadar released, everyone in the industry was against it," Deol said in Punjabi. "They said it was a Punjabi film and that it wouldn't do well. But the audiences proved them wrong. They loved the film and made it a huge success."

Deol went on to say that the success of Gadar gave him the confidence to make Gadar 2. "The audiences are the reason why I'm making Gadar 2," he said. "They loved the first film and I know they're going to love the second one too." Gadar 2 is set to release in theatres on August 11. The film is directed by Anil Sharma and stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma alongside Deol.

In the upcoming episode, Deol will also speak about the challenges he faced while making Gadar. In the promo video, he said that the film was originally supposed to be a small-budget project, but it grew into a much bigger film as the story developed. "We faced a lot of problems while making Gadar," Deol said. "But we never gave up. We knew that we had a great story to tell and we were determined to make it happen."

Gadar went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Bollywood history. The film was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to revive Deol's career.

Deol is hoping that Gadar 2 will be just as successful as the first film. He said that the film is a tribute to the Indian army and the sacrifices they have made for the country. "Gadar 2 is a very special film for me," Deol said. "It's a tribute to the Indian army and the sacrifices they have made for our country. I hope the audience will love it."
