Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who is better known as the 'Showman', was recently in the news for him joining hands with Sanjay Dutt for remaking his cult film Khal Nayak.

This time round, Subhash Ghai is in the news again for his contribution towards a social cause. Subhash Ghai, alongwith his industry friends, took part in the Versova beach cleaning drive yesterday morning. The said drive, which was attended by around 200 plus residents of Versova, was carried out with an aim to clean up the awful stock of garbage formed at the beach.

Speaking about the cleanliness drive, Subhash Ghai said, "It was a wonderful feeling today to be part of this amazing clean up drive at Versova beach. My friend Afroz Shah had invited me to join the clean-up drive along with 200 residents who were gathered with their selfless passion to clean the garbage. We received great support from the BMC too who were present there. It was a real scene of 'Swachh Bharat' inspired drive. We are soon going re-initiate it and would urge all my students of Whistling Woods International and all the citizens to join me it!"
