Sreeleela recently opened up about her ascent in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar India, painting it less as a glamorous rocket launch and more as a grounded, introspective path. “It felt a lot less like a rise and more like a series of steps that are small, quiet ones that suddenly became visible,” she shared. “It is a journey where you are constantly learning, unlearning, and relearning. And what I try to do is to be centred through this process because the key is always to hold a sense of normalcy, and remind myself why I started in the first place.”
Her words capture the humility behind the hype. In an industry that often spotlights overnight sensations, Sreeleela emphasized staying rooted and focusing on growth over glamour. A deep love for trying new things and stepping into other lives is what draws her to the camera. “It is curiosity, the chance to live different lives, understand different perspectives, and discover something new about myself each time,” she revealed. “The camera, in a way, becomes a mirror, but one that constantly changes. That's what just keeps getting me back.”
Sreeleela will next be seen alongside Dhanush in D55 and will be debuting in Bollywood with Anurag Basu’s musical drama, which also features Kartik Aaryan.
