Sooraj Pancholi, who was acquitted in the Jiah Khan suicide case, made a significant visit to the famous Somnath Temple in Gujarat to seek blessings. The actor, accompanied by his family and close ones, embarked on a spiritual journey to the revered temple. During his visit, Sooraj actively participated in the ritual of Dhwaja Pujan.
A couple of photographs capturing the moments of Sooraj's visit to the Somnath Temple have emerged online, garnering attention from internet. In the snapshots, Sooraj can be seen immersed in prayer and seeking solace in the divine ambiance of the temple. He had donned a simple attire, wearing black pants paired with a matching full-sleeved t-shirt. He had also adorned his forehead with a sacred chandan tilak.
Earlier Sooraj had visited the Siddhivinayak temple located in Mumbai and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi after the special CBI court declared him not guilty of the accusations, citing insufficient evidence against him. He had also posted an Instagram story shortly after receiving significant legal relief in the case. Sooraj had taken to his Instagram Stories and had written, “The TRUTH always wins!”
Sooraj Pancholi, who was in a relationship with Jiah Khan when she died, was accused of abetting her commit suicide by Jiah's mother Rabi Khan after a big argument between the two. However, on April 28, the court acquitted the Sooraj of all charges, stating that there was insufficient evidence linking him to the abetment. Sooraj, the son of Zarina and Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi, made his Bollywood debut in 2015 with the movie Hero, alongside Athiya Shetty. He appeared in court on the same day, accompanied by his mother and actress Zarina Wahab.
Almost ten years before, on June 3, 2013, Jiah's mother Rabia Khan discovered her daughter hanging from the ceiling of her home in Mumbai's Juhu neighbourhood. The Juhu Police detained actor Suraj Pancholi, Jiah Khan's then-boyfriend, for aiding suicide after a 6-page letter allegedly written by Jiah was discovered at her home. It was asserted that the suicide letter was evidence against Suraj and that it represented their turbulent relationship.
