Actor Sonu Sood, whose altruism during the COVID is mythical, has come forward to offer free accommodation to Indians stranded in Dubai.
Speaking of his generosity exclusively to this writer, Sonu Sood said, “I know some people are raising questions about my motives for helping people during COVID, and otherwise. But tell me something: is humanism a questionable motive? Paise kidhar se aaye? Kahan se aaye? Yeh mera maamla hai (where I got the money to help people is my concern). Sir, wouldn’t you do the same if you had the means and the opportunity? We human beings have this tragic trait: na karenge na karne denge (won’t help and won’t let others help).”
As for his offer of accommodation to stranded Indians in Dubai, Sonu said it’s unconditional. “Just be my guest for as long as you need. The offer is open to all Indians in Dubai. I am also the brand ambassador of Dugasta. So, we have a lot of residences, a lot of things have been done. And all the brands that I always work with, I make sure that we do some good work also. And since people are stranded in Dubai, a lot of issues are happening with them. Sometimes they stay because flights are not available. So, we have given an accommodation that wherever, how many number of people, no matter how, which religion, which community, which country, we will make sure that you get an arrangement to stay till you are not able to find a suitable flight back for your country.”
