The Khan family and their close friends are mourning the loss of Kumud Raney, a Dubai-based entrepreneur who recently passed away after battling cancer. Sohail Khan was among the first to express his sorrow publicly. Taking to Instagram, he shared a photograph of himself embracing Kumud and penned an emotional note remembering their bond. Referring to her as family, Sohail wrote, “I lost my beautiful sister today, nobody in the world can replace her. My heart goes out to Jaggi & Kabir as Kumud was thr lifeline. Times like these make you feel that life’s unfair and you begin to question the almighty. I pray that she’s happy wherever she is, we will miss her forever.”

Kumud Raney was well-known within Bollywood’s social circles through her husband Jaggey Raney, who is said to share close ties with several members of the film fraternity. Over the years, the couple developed strong friendships with many industry personalities, particularly the Khan family. Following her passing, several members of the family reportedly attended her funeral in Dubai earlier this week to pay their last respects.
Arpita Khan Sharma also took to social media to remember Kumud and the moments they shared together. Posting a heartfelt message, she wrote, “Dearest Kumu, We will always cherish all the times we spent together. Your warmth, your love, your humour will be missed. We love you & I know you will always be looking over us. Rip my love.”
Singer and television personality Iulia Vantur, who has long been associated with the Khan family and is believed to have shared a close friendship with Kumud, also paid tribute on Instagram. Sharing a photograph, she wrote, “Will remember u this way Happy, loved, surrounded by your people. Rest in love and peace our dear.”
