Given that we had seen three high-profile celebrity weddings in January already, 2023 appears to be the year of weddings. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant first got engaged in great style, as is typical of the Ambanis. The marriage of actor Satyadeep Mishra and all-rounder Masaba Gupta was the second secret wedding followed by that of cricketer KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty in Khandala. And yep, another much anticipated wedding occurred yesterday. Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are now officially wed. Last evening in the romantic Jaisalmer, the couple got married. The ceremony was held in the opulent Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, in front of the couple's closest friends and relatives. Fans had to wait for the official images from the ceremony to be released because there was a stringent "no-phones" restriction during the wedding, but the wait is now over! Stunning photos from Sidharth and Kiara's wedding have been revealed, and they are absolutely surreal.

The pair appears to have nailed day wedding sartorial as well as beauty choices, as seen by the abundance of their first few wedding photos in our feeds. Bollywood style, the pair announced their wedding on their own Instagrams with the same captions, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead”. Kiara Advani opted for an old-rose Manish Malhotra lehenga while Sidharth Malhotra opted for a gold embroidered sherwani. Kiara stunned in a custom ombre Manish Malhotra Lehenga in hues of empress rose. The lehenga features intricate embroidery detailing of the roman architecture, inspired by the special love the newlyweds share for the city of domes. Her blush pink bridal lehenga, embellished with sequins and rhinestones, makes her a stunning bride against the romantic backdrop. If you didn't think that was enough sparkly splendour, her jewellery, which was capped with diamonds and emeralds, more than made up for it. Due to her close affinity with the designer, Kiara Advani is the first bride and woman to introduce Manish Malhotra's newest line of exquisite jewellery. The unusual piece is made up of an amazing mix of rare Zambian emeralds and ultra-fine hand-cut diamonds.

Kiara selected a diamond necklace that perfectly matched her colour palette. According to the adage that "diamonds are a girl's best friend," the Shershah actress chose a sizable uncut diamond ring as her engagement ring. This stunning chunk of rock captured all the attention. The actress added a number of dual-toned pink and white choodas into her bridal ensemble, giving the impression of a modern-day Sindhi bride who opted to forgo traditional colours like red. Not to forget that her gems spoke volumes about her heritage.

Her hair was neatly pulled back into a low bun and decorated with dark pink flowers. Kiara Advani embraced a nude rosy glow that was ideal for a day wedding to go with her soft rose Manish Malhotra lehenga. The actor effortlessly pulled off monochromatic makeup thanks to a perfect base that was finished with a wash of rose blush, eyeshadow, and lips. Without going overboard, mascara-coated lashes and brushed-up brows highlight her features. A mini red bindi kept her look intact to the quintessential Indian bridal appeal.

Kiara Advani picked a more understated design for her mehendi, with tapering designs on the fingers supported by a floral centre on the palms. This understated application of henna blends well with her pink, less-is-more outfit.

While the wedding was intimate, it was very detailed — including the actor’s kalire, the custom kalire was designed by Mrinalini Chandra. According to the designer, “Our signature love story kaliras for the beautiful Kiara Advani was all sorts of magical! Amidst stars, moon, couple initials & butterflies, there is a thoughtful dedication to a beloved pet, a favourite travel destination, a little love & mischief.”

Sidharth, our lovely groom, chose a custom-made Manish Malhotra masterpiece that was the ideal fusion of whimsical and dreamy. Sidharth has old world charm while donning a shiny gold sherwani with a stunning regal lustre. The sherwani was created with the finest elegance and includes traditional signatures, hints of ivory thread work, gold zardozi, and badla work. He finished off his ensemble with handcrafted Manish Malhotra Polki Jewellery by Raniwala 1881 for the ideal regal look, which is set with incredibly exquisite uncut diamonds. Sidharth chose a stole and turban in golden hues, and added a feathery brooch with jewels to the turban. He decided to keep his wedding band basic. He can be seen sporting a classic, gold wedding band that matches his personality nicely and is both sleek and fashionable.

The two met while filming the movie Shershaah. Although Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra only recently made their relationship official on Instagram, it appears to us that their love story is meant to last. We wish Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani many more years of marital joy, love, and stylish moments together.
