Actor Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack in December 2023 on the sets of the film Welcome To The Jungle. Recently, he spoke to India Today about his health scare and his return to the set of the upcoming multi-starrer. During the conversation, Shreyas revealed a family history of heart disease and acknowledged the potential link to his own experience. He also mentioned doctors suggesting a rise in such incidents after COVID-19, possibly due to blood thickening.

The actor expressed immense gratitude for the support he received during his hospitalisation. He specifically thanked Akshay Kumar, Ahmed Khan, and his friends from the Marathi film industry for their constant well-being checks. He said, “It’s a great support system and relief to your mind to know that there are people who will be by the side of your family to take care of them whenever you are in a critical situation.”

As the conversation progressed, Shreyas described mixed emotions on his first day back on set. While happy to be working again, he admitted to initial nervousness and anxiety about his health. He spoke about the importance of gradually resuming work and prioritising recovery.

He said, “My first day on the sets was a day of mixed emotions, where I was happy to be back on set, but at the same time, there was this little bit of nervous energy in me that ‘is everything okay? Will I be okay?’ I kept checking my heart rate on my watch. Once I was past that, I started shooting. Before that, there were little butterflies in my stomach. I'm taking it a little slow and not rushing into it yet. I want to give my body enough time to recover.”

The 48-year-old actor concluded the interview by expressing his deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and well-wishes he has received from fans. He mentioned encounters with fans at the airport and on set, highlighting their genuine concern for his health.
