This is how Shraddha Kapoor is prepping to play badminton ace Saina Nehwal

While news reports about a biopic on Saina Nehwal in the making have been doing the rounds for a while, only recently things started falling into place. From the director to the producer details were being locked with Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead role. Now we hear that after wrapping up her other commitments, the actress is getting on with the preparations of becoming the badminton superstar.

Talking about the same, Shraddha Kapoor expressed her nervousness about matching up to the standards set by Saina Nehwal. Maintaining that it is going to be one of her most difficult films by far, the actress explained that whilst Saina has been a brilliant player with an experience of years, she will have to learn the skill in a short period of time mainly because she will have to play quite a bit of it on screen to look convincing.

As a part of her research, Shraddha Kapoor will also be seen hanging out with Saina Nehwal often to understand her mannerisms and thought processes.

The director of the film Amole Gupte too has done his share of research, which includes visiting Saina’s hometown in Hyderabad, meeting her family, close friends as well as gathering videos of performances on the badminton court. All these will be a part of the script too.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Saina Nehwal biopic is yet to be titled. On the other hand, although this is Shraddha’s first sports biopic, she has kick started this film after wrapping up yet another biopic which is on renowned gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker.
