The actor, who recently appeared in Jatadhara, has made it clear that she is actively seeking opportunities and isn’t shy about putting herself out there.
Shilpa, who regained visibility after her stint on Bigg Boss 18, spoke candidly in a recent interview about her current phase in the industry. Reflecting on her recent projects, she shared, “Meri film Jatadhara release hui November mein, which didn’t do very well. But there’s this other project, I’m doing a web series. I’m doing another film, and I’m waiting for its official announcement to come out. So, yes, touchwood, by the grace of God, I’m busy till the end of the year.”
However, what stood out most was her honest take on networking and the importance of asking for work in a competitive industry. Shilpa admitted that she sees no harm in reaching out to people directly when it comes to finding opportunities.
“Agar mere paas kisika number hai ya main kisiko miloon toh main sabko bolti hoon ki bhai mujhe kaam chahiye toh kuch acha hoga toh dedo… There is no harm. Agar kaam chaiyeh aur agar koi dilwa sakta hai or can do something for you, toh that person should at least know na,” she said.
Her statement reflects a refreshing sense of ownership over her career, breaking away from the notion that actors must wait for opportunities to come to them. Instead, Shilpa is choosing to be proactive, vocal, and unapologetic about her ambitions.
