One can't be a public figure and not face the wrath of the audience if he/ she make a major goof up in their interviews. Shilpa Shetty Kundra has become the new target of social media trolling after her recent interview went viral.
Shilpa Shetty thinks Animal Farm is children’s book, gets trolled on TwitterRecently, when Shilpa Shetty Kundra was asked about her views on the inclusion of characters from popular culture like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ in the school syllabus in India, she said, according to her, having books like ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Harry Potter’ as part of the syllabus was a great move because it cultivated imagination and creativity at a young age. She added that, books like ‘Little Women’ would also encourage respect towards women at a young age and that even ‘Animal Farm’ should be included as it would teach the little ones to love and care for animals.
Readers may note that, George Orwell's Animal Farm happens to be a social commentary on the dystopian society and the Russian Revolution during the Stalinist era in the Soviet Union. Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s misinterpretation about adding ‘Animal Farm’ to the syllabus led to an outpour of trolls on twitter.

However, Shilpa Shetty Kundra took to twitter this evening to clarify on the whole fiasco stating that she hadn’t recommended the book, She wrote, “Whilst I admire the writers of LOTR, Harry Potter & Animal Farm I've "NEVER" read these books(@ the cost of sounding even dumber!)Not my kind. .So recommending them to kids is out of the question! Obviously some misunderstanding.Don't want to get into it. This too shall pass. So Mom says ,When you are a Celebrity ‘Never complain and Never Explain’. Love must be unconditional.. mine stays.”
