Shefali Shah and Ranveer Singh have shared screen space together in Dil Dhadakne Do, and have shared a great bond. Over the years, the duo has shared mutual admiration, and recently, Shefali once again expressed her fondness for the actor in the most heartfelt way.
Ranveer Singh, who continues to dominate Bollywood with his powerful performances and has been making headlines for his work in Dhurandhar 1 & 2, has been receiving immense love, appreciation, and respect. Joining the long list of admirers, Shefali Shah, known for her versatility as an actor, praised Ranveer not just his craft, but also the person he is beyond the camera.
Taking to Instagram, Shefali shared a heartwarming video from an award function where Ranveer is seen lifting her on stage, a candid, joyful moment that perfectly captures their affectionate bond. Accompanying the video, she penned a deeply personal and nostalgic note, recalling their very first meeting.
She wrote, “The first time I met @ranveersingh was exactly like this. I was at the dance rehearsal of Galla Gudiyan in a studio in Bombay… and suddenly, from behind, I get lifted off the ground… it was Ranveer. This was our very first interaction. And just like that, we became a team.”
Shefali went on to describe Ranveer as someone who is unfiltered, emotionally honest, and full of infectious energy. She admired his ability to express himself with childlike sincerity, calling his warmth and enthusiasm truly rare.
What stood out most in her note was her appreciation for Ranveer’s humility and collaborative spirit. Referring to him affectionately as “Ran,” she highlighted how he makes everyone around him feel valued. “He treats you like you are important, and that’s very heartwarming. He’s 100% a team player… he knows when to step back and just be a support to someone else,” she shared, adding that such security and understanding are what make him truly special.
She also revealed a touching anecdote from after the release of Dil Dhadakne Do, when Ranveer quietly visited theatres and later messaged her to praise her performance, yet another example of his genuine and unrestrained appreciation for others.
Calling herself a huge fan, Shefali praised Ranveer’s acting prowess, noting how effortlessly he brings depth and layers to his roles. “Not once do you see Ranveer Singh the actor… all you see is the character,” she wrote.
