Shefali Jariwala reveals why she went missing after the success of her song Kaanta Laga : Bollywood News

Bollywood actress Shefali Jariwala shot to fame with her music video ‘Kaanta Laga’. The song was released in 2002 and anyone from that era is bound to remember the earworm remix. Shefali Jariwala became a household name as the hit song and its video became viral like fire even before the existence of social media.

Shockingly after getting huge success on her song, Shefali just disappeared from the industry and was not seen doing much work. Recently while talking to a tabloid the actress revealed why she didn't take up any work further after ‘Kaanta Laga’ and the issues she dealt with at that point. She revealed that she suffered from epilepsy seizures.

The actress shared that she had her first seizure at the age of 15. At that point, she was under tremendous pressure to do well in academics. She also shared that she has got seizures in classrooms, backstage, while on roads which really lowered her self-esteem.

Unveiling the reason behind not taking up any further projects despite having such fame early in her career Shefali said that it was because of the epilepsy seizures only that she couldn’t take up much work. She didn't know when she would get her next seizure and this went on for 15 years. After 15 years, she finally resumed work as she got free from the seizures. The actress then participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5 along with her husband Parag Tyagi. She also appeared as a female lead in ALT Balaj's web series Baby Come Naa opposite Shreyas Talpade. She was last seen in Bigg Boss season 13 as a contestant.
