Shahid Kapoor, whose latest release Bloody Daddy has been receiving accolades for his stellar performance, recently engaged in a question and answer session on Twitter, interacting with his fans. Amidst the flurry of tweets, one fan expressed a desire to see him return to films like Chup Chup Ke. In response, Shahid's witty reply not only delighted fans but also refreshed memories of his iconic character from the Priyadarshan directorial.

The Twitter user, eager to witness Shahid Kapoor in similar roles, tweeted, "When are you going to work in movies like 'Chup Chup Ke'? I have injected Jabba already in my veins." Kapoor, in his response, cleverly wrote, "Pehle CHIIIIPS khilao," inviting laughter and nostalgia among fans.

This humorous reply instantly refreshed memories of Shahid's memorable character in the Priyadarshan-directed film, where he portrayed a lovable, bumbling young man, who pretended to be mute and dumb. “The scene where Rajpal throws a lota at you and hits Om Puri instead and you run away from there still makes me laugh ,” commented a Twitter user, while a few of them dropped laughing emoticons.

For the unversed, Chup Chup Ke, released in 2006, was a comedy-drama that struck a chord with the audience, thanks to its light-hearted humour and stellar performances. Besides Kapoor, the film features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Neha Dhupia, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and late actor Om Puri. In fact, the film turned 17 a few days back.

Coming to the professional front, the 42-year-old actor was, as mentioned above, last seen in Bloody Daddy. He has an interesting lineup, which also includes his first collaboration with director Anees Bazmee.
