Shabana Azmi recalls the time when she had a “blast” with Neetu Kapoor on the sets of Parvarish : Bollywood News

Known for her talented acting chops, Shabana Azmi was recently seen reliving the time she was shooting for the film Parvarish (1977), directed by Manmohan Desai. The actress took to social media to recall a fond memory she shared with co-actress Neetu Kapoor, who played the role of her sister in the family-action entertainer, which also featured Shammi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna.

In a recent post shared by Shabana Azmi on Instagram, she posted a monochrome photo of her and Neetu Kapoor, which was from one of the sequences in the film Parvarish. For the unversed, the two actresses played the role of poor sisters, who want to seek revenge from the man, who destroyed their lives and earn their livelihood by pickpocketing and robbing. She posted this along with a caption that read, “Neetu Singh sent this to me - a still from #Manmohan Desai’s #Parvarish - a film we both had a blast doing.”

For the unversed, the film featured Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna as sons of Shammi Kapoor, who plays the role of the Police Commissioner. While Amitabh essays the role of an Inspector, Vinod Khanna is an activist who teaches blind children. However, the latter secretly harbors a dislike towards his family, when he is told that he was ‘adopted’ by them.

Parvarish yet again explores the brotherly bond just like Manmohan Desai’s Amar Akbar Anthony which once again featured the same four lead stars in pivotal roles and interestingly both films also released in the same year.
