The actress made her cinematic debut in 2015 with Angrej, a period romantic drama that became a cultural and box office phenomenon. Leaving behind a successful career in Hindi TV with hits like 12/24 Karol Bagh and Balika Vadhu, Sargun’s bold leap into Punjabi cinema changed the trajectory of her career — and the industry itself.

On this special occasion, husband and actor Ravie Dubey took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note, proudly calling her the ‘Queen of Punjabi Cinema’. The tribute quickly went viral, with fans and celebrities alike applauding her decade of success.

Over the years, Mehta has delivered one hit after another — from Love Punjab, Lahoriye, Qismat, Qismat 2, to Saunkan Saunkne and Jind Mahi. In 2024 alone, she headlined two of the year's biggest Punjabi blockbusters: Saunkan Saunkanay 2 and the ongoing box office success Sarbala Ji.

But her contributions go far beyond acting. In 2021, Sargun and Ravie launched Dreamiyata Entertainment, under which she produced Udaariyaan — the first Punjabi-rooted drama to air on national television via Colors TV. Running for over three years, the show became a fan favorite and opened the doors for regional narratives on mainstream platforms.

The couple later expanded Dreamiyata into Dreamiyata Music and Dreamiyata Dramaa, building an ecosystem of Punjabi-first content that continues to create jobs and shape careers.
