Sanjeeda Shaikh, who is basking on the love that she continues to receive for her role as Waheeda in Heeramandi, confessed about her admiration for co-actress Rashmika Mandanna. After watching tidbits of her performances on social media, the actress opened up about watching her latest films which managed to have changed her perspective about her as she couldn’t stop confessing about her acting skills.

In an exclusive interview with News18, Sanjeeda Shaikh revealed how she started viewing Rashmika Mandanna in a different light after watching her performances in Animal and Pushpa 2 – The Rule. She said, “Earlier, I used to see her on social media a lot but after watching a couple of her performances, especially in Animal, my perspective changed."

The actress made a reference to a particular scene in Animal where Rashmika’s character Geetanjali confronts her husband Ranvijay played by Ranbir Kapoor. Appreciating her performance, Sanjeeda shared “I thought she was really good and graceful in Animal. That one scene she had with Ranbir in the film changed my idea of her and she came in the category of a very good performer. And then I watched her in Pushpa 2 and my respect for her increased even more. The last film I watched was Pushpa 2. I loved it! I never thought that I’m competing with my contemporaries but I’ve this new-found love for Rashmika,” asserted Sanjeeda.

Coming to her upcoming films, Rashmika Mandanna has many films in the pipeline which includes Sikandar with Salman Khan, Kubera with Dhanush and Nagarjuna, Chhaava with Vicky Kaushal, The Girlfriend, among others. Meanwhile, Sanjeeda is yet to reveal details about her upcoming projects. The actress has not only made a name on television and OTT but also received a lot of love for her brief but impactful role in the Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter.
