Sanjay Kapoor recalls approaching Homi Adajania for Khel Khel Mein remake : Bollywood News

The trailer of Homi Adajania’s quirky crime comedy Murder Mubarak has got the audience excited for the film’s release. The film boasts of a huge and talented ensemble cast including the likes of Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi and Sara Ali Khan. Getting such big names together isn't an easy task, and the story of Sanjay coming on board proves the power of manifestation.

Sanjay reveals that he got a call from Murder Mubarak’s casting director saying that Homi wanted him to be a part of the film. But what makes it ‘meant-to-be’ is that Sanjay himself has been vying for this collaboration for a long time.

He shares, “Homi has been on my bucket list for a very long time. I have the rights to Rishi Kapoor's film Khel Khel Mein and I wanted to produce it, and I will in future. My first choice for its director was Homi but at that time, he said he does originals and wasn't keen on directing a remake, so it didn't happen. Then I got busy with acting work but having Homi direct me in Murder Mubarak was even better as I got a chance to work with him as an actor and had a great time

Sanjay goes on to praise his director and cast mates. He shares, “The way Homi has presented the film is very quirky and the way he loves all his characters, I absolutely enjoyed it. The whole team is fabulous, and apart from Karisma who I worked with in Shakti, I had never worked with anyone else before. With Dimple, I worked in Luck By Chance but we didn't have any scenes together there. Here, I got to work with her and an amazing star cast, so it has been an amazing experience.” Murder Mubarak starts streaming on Netflix from March 15.
