Bollywood star Salman Khan has shone a spotlight on the rising talent of 16-year-old singer-songwriter Jonas Conner, urging fans and the public to nurture young artists rather than exploit them. In a heartfelt post on X, Salman praised Jonas’ ability to turn his pain into art, calling his music “something so beautiful.”
Salman shared a photo of Jonas sitting outdoors, strumming his guitar, and wrote: “Never have I seen a 15-year-old turn his pain into something so beautiful. God bless you #JonasConner.” He then listed several of Jonas’ songs he had been listening to on loop: ‘Father in a Bible, Peace with Pain, and Oh Appalachia.’

Continuing, Salman addressed his followers with a broader message. “Aisey bacchon ko na support kiya toh phir kya kiya? Bhaiyon aur behno ye English mein hai .. yahan par bhi aisey bohot hain. Unhe encourage karo exploit nahi.”
Jonas Conner, based in Tennessee, blends country and folk in his music. His single ‘Father in a Bible,’ released independently last year, garnered over 2 million streams in just a month. He celebrates his 16th birthday recently, and to date has amassed over 3 million streams on Spotify, about 521,000 followers, and 707,000 Instagram followers. His journey has not been without challenges: diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 12, Jonas has nevertheless persisted with his songwriting and sharing his music online.

Fans were quick to respond to Salman’s tribute. One tweeted, “Talent is not dependent on age. Circumstances teach you everything. Many congratulations to this 15-year-old child.” Another said, “Well said, Salman, giving a shoutout to a kid.” Others called the message “inspirational,” urging continued support for emerging talents.
On the work front, Salman is set to appear in the upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, helmed by Apoorva Lakhia and inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China.
His most recent outing was Sikandar, which hit theatres in March. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film also featured Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Smita Patil, and Anjini Dhawan in key roles.
