Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 15 likely to be extended amid surge in COVID-19 cases

Bollywood News

As the number of Covid-19 cases rises in Mumbai, the industry is treading carefully. Most television shows have decided to work with a smaller crew and are preparing to evacuate the city if a lockdown is implemented. Launching a new show in such a situation might be a huge risk. In light of this, Colors TV is likely to postpone the premiere of Hunarbaaz and extend Bigg Boss 15 for a few weeks.

Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 15 likely to be extended amid surge in COVID-19 cases

According to reports in Indian Express, talks to extend the current season began a few days ago when Mumbai saw more than 10,000 cases in a single day. The city recorded 20,000 cases on Thursday. The crew believes that continuing an existing show rather than starting a new one is a safer investment. If there is a lockdown in town, God forbid, the team will have to fly out luggage and baggage to shoot outside, incurring additional costs. In terms of all logistics, continuing with Bigg Boss till things settle down seems logical and practical at the moment an insider noted.

The house is a much safer place to be right now, given that the participants are trapped within and are already cut off from the outside world. In addition, the Bigg Boss cast is already encased in a bio bubble. According to the source, the show's production can continue to run smoothly for a longer period of time. While there is no official confirmation at this time, producers are considering extending the season by three to five weeks. According to a source, the final announcement will be made on the Weekend Ka Vaar program by host Salman Khan and Bigg Boss.

Bigg Boss 15 currently has ten candidates, four of them have previously won the 'Ticket to Finale'- Rakhi Sawant, Rashami Desai, Karan Kundrra, and Umar Riaz. The remaining contenders, Tejasswi Prakash, Shamita Shetty, Pratik Sehajpal, Nishant Bhat, Abhijeet Bichukale, and Devoleena Bhattacharjee, have been battling it out to reach the competition's final stage. If the show is renewed, the inmates will have more time to battle for victory.

While the season as a whole has received generally poor reviews, Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash's love story has managed to keep the audience entertained. However, the two have recently been having difficulties due to increased competition between them. According to the most recent commercial, Karan decided to back Shamita in the 'Ticket to Finale' assignment, causing his lady love to collapse. 'Who talks to their girlfriend like this?' Tejasswi was seen crying and asking Karan a few days ago as the two engaged in a war of words, with Karan using filthy terms for her.

According to reports, plans are also underway to welcome candidates' friends and relations for the 'Family Week.' They will have to go through a mandatory quarantine once their names have been confirmed before they can enter the residence.
