Veteran Bollywood actress Saira Banu extended a heartwarming birthday wish to Gauri Khan on her 53rd birthday, celebrating their shared experiences as the spouses of superstars. Saira Banu, who had previously penned a heartfelt tribute to her association with Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, had equally kind words for his wife, Gauri.
In her birthday message to Gauri Khan, Saira Banu expressed, “Many happy returns of the day Gauri Khan! We both share the remarkable experience of being a superstar's spouse. I have closely seen you transitioning from a bubbly, effervescent young wife to an elegant, hardworking, and a trendsetting woman. The way you handle this precious feeling truly resonates with me. It brings back memories of my time with Dilip Sahib.”
Furthermore, Saira Banu acknowledged the unwavering support of Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan during both good and challenging times. She remarked, “Shah Rukh Khan and you have always stood by Dilip Sahib and me in good and bad times. Sending you an abundance of love and blessings on this special day.”
In a prior Instagram post, Saira Banu expressed that Shah Rukh Khan's support for Dilip Kumar and herself was akin to a beacon of solace during a challenging period following the passing of the legendary actor. Reflecting on her initial impression of Shah Rukh Khan, Saira Banu shared on Instagram at the time, “The first time I saw Shahrukh was at a gathering of many stars... I immediately noticed that he appeared to be reserved and hesitant to step forward... and I observed that he bore a striking resemblance to my Shahenshah, Dilip Sahib... I remarked that if I had a son, he would have been just like him.”
For the unversed, Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar tied the knot on October 11, 1966, and the couple were together for over five decades. Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, 2021 due to old age ailments and prolonged illness.
