Saif reserves beach for Deepika’s bikini shoot : Bollywood News

It is a known fact that for the first time in her career, Deepika Padukone has worn a bikini; two piece no less. While she admits that neither was she nervous nor conscious about the shoot, same wasn't the case with the makers. Buzz is that Saif Ali Khan, Homi Adajania and Dinesh Vijan didn't really want their leading lady to be exposed in front of the 'aam junta' (mostly made of 'goras') while the shoot was on.

Hence, an entire section of beach was reserved and privately secured for hours at stretch to ensure that there were no intruders. This, despite the fact that the shoot took place in Cape Town where wearing a bikini is no big deal.

"Though Cape Town is quite safe to shoot, Saif had pre-ensured all necessary security arrangements. They wanted Deepika to be comfortable and hence secured a section of the beach just for the shoot. Though this did cost them a bomb, they didn't fret much about it", informs our source.

With her hot bod soaked in sun with a two piece bikini to add on to the eye candy, Deepika had the time of her life while enjoying all the attention coming her way!

"Yes, the three of them were really gentlemen. I wasn't really conscious since the bikini is required for the scene. Moreover, the character of Veronica is such that she would wear a bikini for the beach. However, Saif and others were insistent that the beach is secured", she says.

However, unlike many other leading ladies where wearing a bikini has been a key peg around the film's promotion (Kareena Kapoor in Tashan, Priyanka Chopra in Dostana, Bipasha Basu in Players, Kangna Ranaut in Rascals), Deepika was assured that Cocktail would be promoted for what it is, instead of little moments of skin show that would come and go in the film.

"I am happy because people have realised that the film is not just about a bikini and there is a lot more to be offered", says Deepika before signing off.
