Saif Ali Khan says Vikram Vedha was ‘exhausting’: ‘I wanted to perform well with Hrithik Roshan’ : Bollywood News

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been basking in the positive response for his latest release Vikram Vedha. The film, which is a remake of Tamil film with the same name, sees the actor take on the role of Vikram, previously played by R Madhavan. The actor says that working with Hrithik Roshan was pretty interesting but the film was exhausting.

Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Saif revealed, “It was exhausting because I had mentally put myself—I wanted to perform well with Hrithik. There’s something about the camera and Hrithik is not entirely human or normal. I don’t mind working with humans, but there’s something so incredibly gifted about his presence and ability to actually pull the eye to everything he’s doing. I’ve seen him do that with beautiful girls, other co-stars and I’ve read reviews where people said to not work with Hrithik, because it will destroy you.”

Vikram Vedha may have seen slow response in terms of box office collections, the reviews have been positive with appreciation coming in for both Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan. When asked if he would have liked to do the role of Vedha, played by Hrithik Roshan, he said, “It’s a great role. When somebody does it as wonderfully as Hrithik—you can’t imagine anyone else. When you look at the lines, it’s a fascinating character. I never allowed myself to think what it would be like if I played the role. But it’s a naughty character—-I would have given a different take maybe, but I just never thought of it. I suppose every other actor is different.”

Meanwhile, Vikram Vedha is an action-thriller written & directed by Pushkar-Gayatri. The story is about a tough cop Vikram (Saif Ali Khan) sets out to track and chase a dreaded gangster Vedha (Hrithik Roshan). The film released on September 30, 2022 in theatres.
