Be it actors, writers, directors or technical crew, many have gotten opportunities on multiple platforms. Interestingly, even some of the biggest stars in Bollywood forayed into the digital space to explore varied kinds of content. Amongst them are actors like Saif Ali Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Sushmita Sen and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

SAIF ALI KHAN

The actor was one of the first big celebrities from Bollywood who forayed into digital space in the web series format. He starred in two seasons of Sacred Games on Netflix, which allowed him to expand his artistry. He also starred in Prime Video India’s Tandav which had a political backdrop as its premise and ended up making all kinds of noise.

MADHURI DIXIT

One of the biggest female stars this country has witnessed, Madhuri Dixit forayed into the digital space with Netflix’s 2022’s The Fame Game which explored the life of a superstar Anamika Anand, whose life was seemingly perfect to the public eye until the layers begin to crack. Though it ran for a season and reports stated that the second season was put on hold, it gave the actress an opportunity to work in a different medium altogether.

KAJOL

Another star who forayed into the streaming space is Kajol who made her digital debut with Disney+ Hotstar’s The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon Dhokha, which was the Hindi remake of the American series The Good Wife. Kajol’s portrayal of a vulnerable woman who takes the rein of her life into her own hands has been unanimously loved and applauded by audiences.

SUSHMITA SEN

Amongst several big names is Sushmita Sen who made her way through digital medium and smashed it with the Disney+ Hotstar series Aarya. Currently filming the third season, the gripping story revolves around the murder of Sushmita’s character’s husband, and how she unravels the mystery. The actress received mega response for her nuanced performance.
