Actor Saiee M Manjrekar is currently shooting for the upcoming Pan-India period drama The India House, which is being made simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Produced by Ram Charan in his debut as a producer, the film marks Saiee’s second bilingual project after Major.

Having worked across Hindi and Telugu cinema, Saiee described The India House as a continuation of her journey into multilingual filmmaking. Set in a period backdrop, the film features her in the role of Sati, a character positioned at the emotional core of the narrative.
Sharing her experience, Saiee said in a detailed note, “The India House has been one of the most immersive and fulfilling experiences of my career so far. Shooting a film simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu is both exciting and challenging, because you are constantly switching emotional beats, languages, and even cultural nuances, sometimes within the same day. It requires immense focus and preparation, but it also sharpens you as an actor.”
She also reflected on how her previous bilingual project helped her approach this film. “Having done Major earlier, which was also made in Telugu and Hindi, I felt a certain sense of familiarity with the process. But every film teaches you something new. With The India House, the setting is rooted in a specific period, and the emotions are intense and layered. Playing Sati required me to understand not just the character, but also the era she belongs to her strength, her vulnerability, and the silent resilience that defines her.”
Speaking about the collaborative nature of pan-India productions, Saiee noted, “What I love about projects like these is how cinema truly becomes a shared language. On set, you have people from different industries, different backgrounds, all coming together to tell one story. Working alongside Nikhil Siddhartha, director Vamsi and team, has been incredibly inspiring. There’s so much discipline, passion, and respect for the craft, which pushes you to give your absolute best.”
Concluding her note, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the project. “I feel very grateful to be trusted with a character like Sati in a film as ambitious as The India House. Opportunities like these don’t come often, and being able to work seamlessly across industries makes me feel that I’m growing not just as an actor, but as a storyteller. I hope audiences connect with the film and with Sati’s journey as deeply as I have while portraying her.”
The India House is positioned as a Pan-India period drama and is expected to release in multiple languages, with Saiee M Manjrekar continuing to expand her work across regional and Hindi cinema.
