Zee TV’s popular singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs has been winning over everyone’s heart courtesy the amazing performances by the wonderful contestants. After a week of the splendid Teacher's Day celebrations, this week the popular reality show is set to celebrate the living legend of Bollywood, Amol Palekar and with the actor taking us on a trip down memory lane, the episode was extra special.

Post the marvellous performance of Saee and Tanishka to the iconic actor’s song, ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha’, Amol Palekar went on to reveal a rather tempting anecdote from back in time when he was shooting for this song. As a matter of fact, the actor did dance for the first time in his career and it was on this very song. Another fun fact about the dance sequence in this song was that there was no choreographer for it and the director urged the actors to showcase their spontaneity and dance to the tunes of the song, just like they would seem fit dancing at a casual affair.

Revealing a lesser-known fact about the song, actor Amol Palekar shared, “It’s indeed marvellous to watch these Li’l Champs bloom into such outstanding performers. I’m literally at a loss of words as these kids have risen the bar higher by quite a few notches. Their performance jogs my memory and takes me back in time when I was shooting for the song ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha’. That was indeed the first time I ever danced to a song on screen and I’d have to mention that dancing isn’t my forte. Much to my dismay, there wasn’t even a choreographer or a dance director either for the song. Thus, this entire song was left entirely on the actor’s discretion on how we wanted to groove to the tunes of the song. This song indeed brought back a lot of memories especially of my co-actors Tina Munim and the rest of the cast including people who played the roles of Tina’s mother, her brother, and Arvind Deshpande who played the role of my father. It was certainly a delight to hear these kids perform so brilliantly.”

With Bollywood’s legendary Amol Palekar in the house, the viewers will surely have a gala time, especially with his melodious songs being sung by the supremely talented Li'l Champs.
