At a recent event in Mumbai, Rupali Ganguly spoke about her Anupamaa co-star Gaurav Khanna’s journey on Bigg Boss 19 and expressed her support for him ahead of the grand finale. She also shared her admiration for singer Amaal Mallik and praised fellow contestants Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal.
Ever since Gaurav reached the finale week, fans have been eagerly rooting for him to lift the trophy. Rupali Ganguly, who plays the titular character in Anupamaa, joined the chorus of support for Gaurav, who portrayed Anuj Kapadia on the show.
Speaking at the event, Rupali said, “I am very fond of Amaal. I love the content that Farrhana, Tanya, and everyone has delivered. And Gaurav deserves to win. If he wins, it will be well-deserved.”
Rumors of a rift between Rupali and Gaurav had circulated following his exit from Anupamaa. However, Rupali’s public support helped put speculation to rest, showing that she continues to cheer for her co-star.
Earlier, Gaurav had also spoken about his relationship with Rupali in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. He said, “I won’t call Rupali a friend. She is a wonderful human being from whom I’ve learned a lot. But friendship is something where you can call anytime and share everything. I am not on those terms with anyone, including Rupali or even Sudhanshu.”
In Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav has emerged as a strong player and become the first finalist of the season after winning the Ticket to Finale task. This weekend, Ashnoor Kaur and Shehbaz Badesha were eliminated in the last Weekend Ka Vaar episode. The show is set to have its grand finale on December 7, streaming on JioCinema at 9 pm and on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. The top six finalists now include Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Malti Chahar, Farrhana Bhatt, and Pranit More.
