The Rose makes comeback after two years with beautiful ‘Beauty and the Beast’ music video

South Korean band, The Rose, has officially made their comeback after two years with their new single 'Beauty and the Beast.' The track was released on December 29 at 6pm KST accompanied by a dark music video.

Strumming electric guitar and drum beats begin the track. The band is seen in a hall with chandelier, giving the music video dark-fantasy aesthetics. The story follows Belle and Beast story but is an expansion that loves comes in different forms and one just has to follow their heart. The overall track and music video focuses on the beauty of sincere love.

In the first verse, they talk about people’s perspective on one’s love story. "It couldn't happen / The love story between you and me / Like beauty and the beast / People's perspective / Look at us and shake your head" and pre-chorus going "Cause I'm the beast but you are the beauty."

The chorus lyrics goes, "The withered flowers bloom / I think the magic will work out / Beautiful love you and I / It’s a beautiful life you and I." The second verse talks about the mysterious emotions that awake when in presence of their lover. "Thе scenery I saw evеry day / It's new when I'm with you / Like beauty and the beast / Mysterious emotions/It's just different from others."

The bridge sung in strong booming vocals makes the track unusually good. The electric guitar sound stands makes the track extraordinary. The Rose’ 'Beauty and the Beast' can be termed as a work of outstanding artistry. Towards the end, the ethereal vocals harmonizing altogether gives the song a fresh feel.

In particular, 'Beauty & The Beast' is reportedly the last song that the members of The Rose took part in the production and music video of before they enlisted in the military. The members are said to have written the song for their fans. Currently, members Dojoon, Hajoon, and Jaehyeong are carrying out their mandatory military service.

Additionally, The Rose’s agency, J&Star Company, announced that their exclusive contract with the band has come to an end. The release of 'Beauty & The Beast' will be their last project together and they have requested a lot of support for the members in their future activities. The agency stated, “The contract will be terminated after the new song, according to a mutual agreement between both sides. We would like to thank the fans for loving The Rose.”

The Rose is a four member band, Woosung (vocals, guitar), Dojoon (keyboard), Hajoon (drums), and Jaehyeong (bass). Already a popular indie group before its debut, the band made its official mainstream release under J&Star Company with its first single, Sorry, on August 3, 2017. The song was named as one of the best K-pop songs of 2017 by Billboard, in December 2017.
