The world of Kaala is created and directed by Bejoy Nambiar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar as well as Bejoy too.

Rohan Vinod Mehra opens about his character in Kaala, says “He’s the one fighting for love”

Love can be a strong force in a complex narrative involving power and corruption. Stepping into the shoe of Shubendu Mukherjee in the gritty world of Kaala is Rohan Vinod Mehra. The actor recently opened up about his perception of his character who’s a man of a few words but driven with vengeance and love for his family. Elaborating on it, Rohan said, "There are themes of betrayal and justice but when you look objectively at Shubendu's story, it will look like a story of revenge and him taking law into his own hands.”

He continued, “However when you're playing a character you have to look at it subjectively, at least I did and for me. It was the story of a man who's doing everything for love. The strong bonds he shares with the characters, despite him being the one taking revenge and seeking justice, he brings an emotion to the show which is very important to the central themes of the show. However, for me, Shubendu is really the emotional core of the story. So, I'll always say that he's the one fighting for love."

We’ve all heard of people converting black money to white - but have you ever imagined a situation where one turns white money to black. The series will explore a completely different world of crime and war and is slated to premiere on September 15, 2023 exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
