Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani: Dharmendra compares Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s chemistry to him and Hema Malini : Bollywood News

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which was expected to release in the first half of 2023, was postponed owing to the pregnancy of Alia Bhatt. The film marks the return of the actress on the big screen post motherhood and her fans cannot wait to see her in this romantic drama. Recently, Dharmendra, who too is an integral part of the Karan Johar directorial, made an interesting observation about Alia’s chemistry with co-actor Ranveer Singh and compared it to his own chemistry with Hema Malini.

For the unversed, Dharmendra and Hema Malini were one of the most popular co-stars in Bollywood in the 70s and have done many movies together including the cult Sholay (1975) as well as the blockbuster Dream Girl (1977). Comparing their reel life chemistry with the chemistry of Ranveer and Alia, Dharmendra told Etimes, "There is something innocent and magical about Ranveer and Alia on screen. They remind me of Hema and me on screen when we did so many films together. Bohot suljhe hue bacche hai (They are very sorted). People will see glimpses of Hema and me in Ranveer and Alia."

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are expected to share a great off-screen camaraderie and the two actors even confessed about their close friendship during their appearance in the first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7. Coming to their real-life chemistry, Alia Bhatt is married to Ranbir Kapoor and has a baby girl with her Brahmastra co-star whereas Ranveer Singh is married to his ‘Mastani’ Deepika Padukone.

As for the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, it marks Alia’s second release with Ranveer after the much successful Gully Boy. The film also stars a host of other celebrities including yesteryear actresses Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi and is slated to release on July 28, 2023.
