Robert Pattinson says he finds it harder to imagine The Batman becoming a franchise – ‘People will be shocked’ : Bollywood News

Matt Reeves’ directorial The Batman is set to release in just under a month, and although fans may be wanting to see more of Robert Pattinson’s take on the caper crusader, the actor isn’t sure a series of films is possible.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Pattinson said, “When I saw it the first time, even from the first shot, it does feel incredibly different, tonally, to the other movies. And it’s so strange, and kind of… It’s sad, and quite touching. It’s a really, really unusual Batman story, and it almost seems harder for me to imagine it being a series afterwards. I mean, they always have that little bit at the end, that’s like: ‘…and coming up!’ But other than that, it feels strangely personal. I think people will be quite shocked at how different it is.”

Joining Robert Pattinson are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Ferrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin. It will also feature Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, Alex Ferns, and twins Max and Charlie Carver.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves from a screenplay he co-wrote with Peter Craig. The superhero film will see Robert Pattinson taking on the mantle of the Dark Knight. In addition to the upcoming film, Reeves is also currently developing two HBO Max series that will be set within the film’s universe. This includes a Gotham City Police project, and Penguin-centered series starring Colin Farrell.

The Batman is set to release in India on March 4, 2022.
