Rishi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi remember late Sanjeev Kumar on his birth anniversary : Bollywood News

Recently, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who is known to speak his heart out on social media, was remembering renowned star Sanjeev Kumar, popularly known as Thakur from the iconic film Sholay. Rishi took to Twitter to talk about working with the star on the day of his birth anniversary, July 9.

Rishi Kapoor and Sanjeev Kumar have never come together on the big screen but had shot for a film titled Maang Saja Do Meri which did not see the light of the day. Talking about it, Rishi tweeted, "Remembering the great Sanjeev Kumar on his birthday. We did one film together which never released. Effortless actor." Revealing details on the film, Rishi added, "The film was "Maang Sajado Meri". Directed by Prayagraj produced by dear friend Raj Bhatija had Asha Parekh Ranjeeta. Ready film got messed up."

But that was not all. Shabana Azmi who has worked with Sanjeev Kumar in several films like Devata and Namkeen also spoke about her experience of working with him as well as his sense of humour, saying, "I once told Sanjeev Kumar that Im a v sincere hardworking actress. Pat came his reply "How nice. Kaash ke saath saath TALENT bhi hota!" Soon, Rishi Kapoor replied to the comment saying, "I Don't believe that. You both were so complimenting each other in so many films. Power house actors these!"
