Ridhima Pandit reveals talking to her grandmother about ‘freezing her eggs’ : Bollywood News

Popular television actress Ridhima Pandit recently turned candid when she opened up about her decision of freezing eggs. Actresses in the past have spoken up about having choices and how the decision of having a baby at their time has been crucial for them. Coming from a similar school of thought is also Ridhima who expressed pride over making this decision and furthermore also recalled how her grandmother reacted when she came to know about the news.

In an interview with ETimes, Ridhima Pandit mentioned that she explained the medical procedure of freezing her eggs to her grandmother after the latter constantly found ways to convince her to get married. She said, “My 93-year-old grandmother is obsessed with me getting married. She was in disbelief when I told her about the procedure but appreciated the medical advancement and me for taking this step… my family is extremely progressive and more so my mother. I remember discussing the topic with her.”

She went on to talk about how this procedure gives women a choice to have a child, keeping their desires and ambitions in mind. “When I asked her if I didn’t wish to get married, didn’t find the right person, or was focused on work but yearned to have a child, would she be fine with me preparing for it in advance and she replied, ‘Of course, just go for it and I hope you can inspire people with it.’ I am proud of my decision because so many friends are going in for this procedure," she added.

Ridhima Pandit gained fame for her role as a robot-wife in the LifeOK show Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant. The actress has also been a part of stunt-based reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 and Bigg Boss OTT.
