In her candid posts, Richa revealed the emotional and physical challenges she faced before resuming work, “On Sunday, I went back to work after nearly 2 years. As much as I would have liked to get back sooner, my body, my mind wasn’t ready at all.” She also spoke about enduring “deep professional betrayals” during her most vulnerable phase, calling out the lack of ethics and courage in the industry. “Most people operate from such deep-seated inferiority complexes and scarcity mentality… like dementors—they suck all joy out of life,” she wrote.
The actress didn’t shy away from addressing the mental toll of motherhood, “If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes amazing support to help the mom… The mental recovery from it took longer than I hoped.” Richa also criticized the performative nature of social media, lamenting how platforms have evolved from sharing simple joys to monetizing vulnerability, “Why can’t you discuss post-partum depression without becoming the poster-child for it? Why can’t you be a body positivity enthusiast without sharing a close-up of your stretch marks?”
