Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has been making new records at the box office with the actor too garnering ample praises for his role. But it seems that the entire appreciation came with a price of immense hard work. The makers of the film recently unveiled the journey of prosthetics that the Kapoor boy had to use to age onscreen and to showcase his pot-bellied look in the film.

Ranbir Kapoor, who is often seen as the fit and perfect ‘Punjabi’ munda on screen, left his fans surprised with his aging look in Animal. While many wondered if the actor had to put on weight for a few scenes in the film where he appears to be pot-bellied, it seems that the actor retained his fitness schedule and that the makers made use of high-end prosthetics to lend it complete authenticity. In the video clip, which was released earlier today, the makers have given audiences a sneak peek into how they aged Ranbir’s character Ranvijay onscreen. They posted it on Instagram saying, “'ANIMAL' Transforming into a whole new beast! Ranbir Kapoor rocks the silicone fat body suit in 'Animal' - a metamorphosis you won't believe!”

Coming to Animal, the film revolves around Ranbir Kapoor essaying the role of a beloved son who grows to be obsessed with his father but the latter never reciprocates his love. Despite the fact that he is barred from the family for being violent, he returns to them when his father is attacked by an enemy and sets out on a brutal rampage to bring the perpetuators to justice. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna in key roles with Triptii Dimri, Siddhant Karnick, Saloni Batra, Charu Shankar, among others playing supporting roles. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by T-Series, released on December 1 in all South languages as well as Hindi.
