Renowned actors Ratna Pathak and Naseeruddin Shah's love story is one that has stood the test of time. In a recent conversation, Ratna shared insights into their unique love story and marriage, emphasizing that it wasn't a conventional union and discussing why Shah's past never posed a problem for her.

During an interview with Humans Of Bombay, Ratna reminisced about the time she first encountered Naseeruddin Shah. She said, “We were doing a play together. It was precisely called ‘Sambhog Se Sannyas Tak.’ We pretty soon realised we want to be together. We were stupid, we didn’t ask too many questions. Today people ask all the right questions. We were like, ‘This sounds good, let’s just try.’ and it worked out. It was total fluke. Can’t claim any credit for it. It just worked out.”

Though it was widely known that Shah had been married before, Ratna made it clear that this fact had no impact on her feelings, nor did it create any preconceived judgments about the man she deeply cares for. She explained, “I was not concerned with his past life, I was in love. He had been separated from his ex-wife for a very long time. Meanwhile, he had many other relationships. That also seemed like history. Then I arrived, as long as I am the last, I am okay.”

In terms of their professional careers, Ratna Pathak Shah was recently featured in Tarun Dudeja's film Dhak Dhak alongside Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi. The movie had a theatrical release on October 13. Additionally, Ratna and Naseeruddin Shah recently collaborated in a thriller series titled Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley.
