Actor Rashmika Mandanna has resumed shooting for her upcoming film Mysaa after completing her wedding ceremonies. The development comes as the film continues to generate attention ahead of its anticipated 2026 release.
Mandanna recently shared a glimpse from the film’s set through her Instagram, reposting a story originally shared by director Rawindra Pulle. The visual shows the crew filming in a wide, outdoor landscape, hinting at the scale and setting of the project. The post was accompanied by the caption, “The Hunt Begins,” suggesting the start of a new filming schedule.
Mysaa, produced by Unformula Films, is described as an emotional action thriller set in tribal regions. While details about the plot remain limited, the film is expected to feature Mandanna in a more intense role compared to some of her previous work.
A source associated with the production said, “The team has resumed shooting on schedule, and the current phase focuses on key sequences set outdoors. The film aims to build a grounded narrative with strong visual elements.” The makers had earlier released a first look of the film, which drew attention for Mandanna’s rugged appearance and the film’s tone. The background score, composed by Jakes Bejoy, has also been noted as a key element of the project.
Speaking briefly about the film in a recent interaction, Mandanna said, “It’s a different space for me as an actor, and I’m looking forward to exploring it further as we continue shooting.”
With production now back underway, Mysaa is expected to progress through its next schedule in the coming weeks, with more updates likely as filming continues.
