Actor Rasha Thadani has adopted a rescued monkey named Angad, stepping forward to support the animal’s recovery and rehabilitation after it was found injured. The young actor, who made her film debut with Azaad, shared the update after learning about Angad’s story online.
According to updates shared by rescuers, Angad was discovered in a severely injured and fragile condition. The young monkey had reportedly been separated from his mother and attacked by other monkeys, leaving him with serious wounds that required urgent medical care. Animal rescuers intervened and began treating him while starting the process of rehabilitation.
Angad’s condition and rescue story were later shared on social media to raise awareness and support for his treatment. The post caught the attention of Thadani, who decided to step in and contribute directly to the monkey’s recovery. By adopting Angad, she will support the costs of his medical treatment, nutrition and long-term care during rehabilitation.
Reacting to the rescue story, Thadani reportedly expressed concern for the animal’s condition and chose to help ensure he receives proper care. “Every animal deserves compassion and a chance to heal,” she said while speaking about the importance of supporting rescued animals.
The development is consistent with Thadani’s long-standing interest in animal welfare.In previous posts, she has also encouraged people to adopt animals rather than buy them. Sharing the story of animals she rescued earlier, she wrote, “A little love, care and compassion can go a long way. Adopt, don’t shop.”
Angad is currently under the care of an animal rescue team that is overseeing his treatment and rehabilitation. Through this adoption, Thadani’s involvement has also drawn attention to the broader issue of animal rescue and the long-term care required for injured wildlife.
