Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was honoured at the third edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia. Ranveer was honoured with the prestigious Yusr Award which was presented to him by none other than the iconic Hollywood actress Sharon Stone. He also sat down for a conversation about his work, Don 3 and how India is all set to take over the global map.

Speaking to Deadline, “In all humility, as a very proud member of the Indian film fraternity, I would say we are on the cusp of an explosion. I think RRR is the first sign of that. It's like a volcano just bubbling. And the first burst, perhaps is RRR. I'm confident that there will be no looking back. We've always had a very rich culture of films in our country. I think now that media is connecting the world and making it all one great big global landscape, I think it's India's moment is now. We are on the cusp of it. We've seen what's happened with South Korean content with the Squid Game or Parasite. RRR is the first in what I genuinely believe is going to be a series of recognized pieces of work coming out of India and putting India on the world map in the realm of entertainment.

Talking about the fans meeting him in Jeddah, he added, “I'm so thrilled to see fans from the diaspora come out in large numbers and express their love. It was really a wonderful experience interacting with them this morning not just from India but from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The South Asian diaspora is very strong here in Jeddah, and it was really lovely meeting them all.”

Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh are aiming for Don 3 for 2025. Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe Singham Again alongside Deepika Padukone. He has reportedly signed Baiju Bawra with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
