The media has often been surprised and sometimes bewildered about Aditya Chopra, who hardly ever features on camera. From his hush hush wedding to Rani Mukerji to his trips, the filmmaker maintains extreme secrecy when it comes to his private life and he almost never makes a media appearance as well as also stays away from social media. While stars often talk about how he likes to stay from media glare, Rani surprised everyone by revealing that she is the one who is more reserved than her filmmaker-producer husband.

In an interview with Film Companion’s Anupama Chopra, Rani Mukerji opened up about her personal life and building a happy nest with husband Aditya Chopra, and why they love staying at home. Rani said, "I am more private than my husband, nobody knows that. He's much more outgoing than me. He's just not outgoing with film people, but he's quite outgoing. I chose right because I wanted to choose a person who's not outgoing, so I'm happy at home, he's happy at home, we both are happy at home. It would be really difficult if I had a husband who would say 'Hey let's go partying' and I would be like 'Really?!'. He doesn't force me to go anywhere, I don't force him to go anywhere, and we are so happy being at home."

Talking about her professional life, Rani Mukerji was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway wherein the actress played the role of a mother who fought a long legal battle with the Norwegian Children Welfare organization. The film, directed by Ashima Chibber, was inspired by real life events and was released on March 17, 2023. The actress is yet to make an announcement about her next project.
