Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji recently shared a personal experience with fans. In an interview with Galatta India, Mukerji opened up about suffering a miscarriage while trying for a second child with filmmaker-husband Aditya Chopra.

The actress, who turned 46 this year, revealed that she and Chopra began trying for another baby after their daughter Adira's birth in 2015. "Adira is eight years old now," Mukerji said, "and I kept trying for a second baby. I finally got pregnant, but then I lost the baby. It was a very difficult time for me."

Age plays a significant role in fertility, and the Mardaani actress acknowledged this reality. "I'm not very young anymore," she admitted, "even though I look young." Recognizing the limitations, she expressed her grief over not being able to give Adira a sibling. "It pains me that I can't give her that," Rani said.

However, the Hichki actress also expressed her gratitude. "We have to be grateful for what we have," she stated. "For me, Adira is my miracle child, and I'm so happy to have her. I'm working on accepting this, and telling myself that Adira is enough." For the unversed, Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra welcomed their daughter Adira in December 2015.

Speaking of the professional front, Rani was last seen in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. The legal drama, inspired by the real-life story of an Indian couple, also starred Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta, and Jim Sarbh.
